Emergency HVAC in St. George
AC down in the heat is not an inconvenience here. Give us the ZIP, and read the section below while you wait.
- We book the appointment
- A licensed contractor does the work
- You contract directly with them
While you wait, look after the people first
On a design day the inside of a house without cooling can become genuinely dangerous, and it gets there faster than people expect. Infants, adults over 65, pregnant people, anyone on heart or blood pressure medication, and anyone with a chronic condition are at higher risk and should not be left to tough it out.
- Get to cooler air if the house is not holding. A library, a shop, a relative's house. Do not wait it out on principle.
- Drink water before you feel thirsty. Thirst lags dehydration in this climate.
- Close blinds and curtains on the sun side and keep interior doors open so what cool air remains can move.
- Run bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans and skip the oven.
- Fans help until they do not. Above roughly body temperature, moving hot air across skin stops cooling you and starts adding heat.
- Never leave anyone, including a pet, in a parked car. Not for a minute.
Heat stroke is a medical emergency. Call 911. Warning signs are confusion or disorientation, hot skin that has stopped sweating, a pounding pulse, vomiting, or fainting. Do not drive someone in that state to a clinic yourself if an ambulance can come to you.
What counts as an emergency
Worth a same-day call: no cooling during a heat event, a burning or electrical smell from the equipment, a breaker that trips every time you reset it, water actively running where it should not be, or any suspected gas leak or CO alarm.
Can usually wait for a normal booking: one room warmer than the rest, a system that cools but is noisier than it was, a thermostat display problem, or a routine service that is overdue.
Being honest with us about which one you have is how the genuinely urgent calls get seen first.
Set expectations on timing
We book appointments. We do not perform the work and we do not control a contractor's schedule, so we will not promise you an arrival time we have no ability to keep. During a sustained heat event every contractor in the county is at capacity and honest scheduling is the most useful thing anyone can give you. Tell us the ZIP and how urgent it really is, and we will book the soonest slot actually available.
